Stefanie, our DVI volunteer in Peru writes a short news on her mission: "I arrived in San Ignacio last week Wednesday after a 20 hour bus ride. There was nothing that I did not do for those 20hours except sleep. I have been given the opportunity to teach English in the primary school run by the sisters and I look forward to that; I am also involved with the youth program coordinated by Hna. Faustina.

Stefanie sends her first report from her mission in Peru: "When you come from a country that has so many religions and enter one where the population is over 90% Catholic it has a strange effect on you. I was amazed by the open expressions of our faith in the streets and on people’s houses. I have never felt more proud to be Catholic that I have now."

Matthews writes his monthly update from the Philippines: "This update is later than intended, but the topic is still relevant: the Christmas season only just finishes today (not on 25th December!), having begun well before November (for the Philippines at least). This will leave the December update free to adopt a Janus perspective between 2009 and 2010 - but only God knows when that'll be written."
